L'Artesà Theatre

Renovation and extension of the Artesà Theatre. The project combines the highest possible level of preservation of the existing building with the new functional program, together with the reorganization and redevelopment of the surrounding outdoor spaces. The scheme includes a 600-seat Italian-style theatre hall (with stage, orchestra pit and fly tower, stalls and balcony) and a multipurpose hall for 160–400 spectators (seated or standing), along with three rehearsal rooms, a foyer connected to the already renovated bar-restaurant, and technical facilities, dressing rooms, storage areas, services, and management spaces for the centre. The redevelopment of the exterior spaces reorganizes access to each of the facilities and integrates the complex into the urban fabric of the city’s historic centre.
