REHABILITATION AND CONVERSION FROM HOUSE TO HOSTEL

The proposal begins with the reform and the estrcutural consolidation of a common wall building in the old town and the insertion of a hostel program. The intervention is defined by three clear actions; the first one is to place an internal courtyard in the center and bottom, oxygenating the different floors, where all "bred and breakfast" rooms overlook, becoming an interior facade shared by all. The second one, a vertical communications hub with a lift at the entrance, and the third one, is the attitude of preserving the vaulted ceramic arcade structure situated on the ground floor and the perimeter walls of river stones, making them participate of the interior architectural expression where possible. Finally, a single slope roof tiles, the facade preserving the characteristic vertical composition of the old town, as well as the colored mortar wall, contribute to define the final architectural intervention.
